Prepare for a better job in the high-demand healthcare field

The University of Central Missouri's Medical Administrative Assistant with EHR certificate program includes training on exEMRx, an industry-standard, government-certified EHR (electronic health record) software program. The class is self-paced and completely online, offering flexibility for busy adults while also providing vital hands-on experience. Students will be prepared for the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) exams after graduation. After completing the course, students will receive two exam vouchers to be used toward these credentials (a $210 value). Medical administrative assistants with this expertise are in high demand with more than 64,000 new jobs expected nationally by 2024. Average salaries are $34,000 annually. Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.
