The University of Central Missouri鈥檚 Certificate in Cybersecurity provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to enter this exciting and growing career area. Learn how to protect data and personally identifiable information from malicious cyber attacks, theft and destruction. Cybersecurity skills are essential in all businesses and organizations such as large corporations, government operations and small businesses and nonprofits. As hackers grow in sophistication, the need for qualified cybersecurity experts continues to grow. Median annual pay for computer support specialists is $53,470, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. National job growth in this area is forecast at approximately 10 percent through 2028 with an estimated 83,000 new jobs expected over the next 10 years. Through this program, students earn a certificate of completion and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.
